Nightmare on Flea Street
Sunday, June 29th, 2008Recently, I have been very buzy, so I delegated bathing of my poochies to my maid. That woman, is very free at home, and she used her time to chat with her boyfriends. Amral, Samid, Rana,.and a few more..whatever their name were.
So, I havent combed them for a week or more. And I decided to clean and groom them. To my horror, I found some fleas.
THese few days, I have been spending my time, flea hunting on both of them. The horror wasnt so bad until I ask her to help me find the fleas yesterday. I saw a big fat pregnant flea clinging on my Oscar’s jaw. THat sent shivers to both of us. She wont want to remove it. I have to do the scary work. Anyways, ew…. the thought of it, its as big as the end finger nail. How on earth it grew so fast n big! It kinda pop in the tissue…ewww… guts spilled or eggs spilled…bleh bleh bleh… horror horror.
YEsterday night, I continued my search at 2am, because I m terrified and I found another two to three more big fat pregnant ones on each of my dog. I decided to head out and buy a tick poison solution to wash them. I cant take it, all the dog showers and checking wont remove the fleas as the groomers told me. There are loads more tiny eggs , and some are so small that I cant see them. There is a need to get the tick solutions to treat or send to groomers. I said its my responsibility to tend to them, I think I will learn it the hard way. A word of advise from my friends n groomer, the fleas are rampant during hot rainy seasons… so, I was advised not to take them out for walks unless its really hot and sunny.
If u ever see me looking very tired for the week to come, you know i m having Nightmare on Flea Street.
